About Conil

A lively town with fantastic beaches and an Arabic influence.

A former fishing village that has evolved into a bustling small town, “the White Village” still hasn’t lost of any of its charm. On the contrary, the Moorish influence can be seen and felt everywhere you go.

Narrow streets, whitewashed houses and beautiful flower-decorated courtyards characterize the flair of the old town.

One of the unique features of this beautiful town, though, is the 14km long sandy beach on which it lies, with numerous Calas (bays) running along the red cliffs inviting you to sunbathe, hike or just relax. Surfers and kitesurfers have also discovered this stretch of the Costa de la Luz (Coast of Light) to be one of the best on the planet.

With around 300 days of sun every year, it’s not surprising you’ll find lots of water sports around Conil. But golfers, cyclists, hikers and – of course – horse riders, can find paradise here too.

Conil bursts into life in the summer with no shortage of events, concerts and parties, while the rest of the year takes on a more tranquil – yet cosy – atmosphere.
